How to Install chirp software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

chirp software package provides Configuration tool for amateur radios, you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install chirp 

chirp is installed in your system.

Make ensure the chirp package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep chirp *

You will get with chirp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
